  • Sister Nichole and Shaykha Mariam are a dynamic duo. I often felt close to both teachers in their respective ways but it gave me comfort knowing they were reachable at a moments notice on several different platforms if I had trouble with anything. You could tell they honored their students to a high degree and it didn’t feel at any moment that I was abandoned or that they didn’t care to see me progress. Their sincerity and genuinity shined through.

    Fatema E

  • I have gained more confidence when reciting. I have also become more aware of my mistakes which helps me improve. I also feel closer to Allah, Subhanallah.

    Nebi

  • SubhanAllah, literally everything (about this course was useful and valuable) ... (the presentation) slides, classes, recordings, surah analysis, opportunity to practice in class, the Telegram group.... actually if i had to pick one thing that kept me going, it was the Telegram group. Everything was useful and valuable, but having encouragement, support, and help from both teachers and other students at basically any time was transformative. It took this experience from being a class to being a community.

You should enrol in the A Tajweed Journey course if any of the following resonates with you:

“I don’t have the time”

We created this course with busy Muslim women in mind. The time commitment each week is only 2-3 hours. If you can find just 2-3 hours out of the 168 hours in a week that you’ve been blessed with, then you will see signifiant improvements in your Quran recitation through this course.

“What if I fall behind?”

You are granted lifetime access to this course, so you will always have the content available for you to learn.

You schedule your one-on-one class at a time that is conveneint for you to prevent you from falling behind.

You also have access to the instructors for the duration of the course, so you can ask us questions and receive help anytime.

It’s really important if you want to see improvements and get the most out of our course that you prioritize The Quran and dedicated time for learning/studying.

“I’m not sure about my level”

We have 3 ways to assess your Quran recitation level:

  1. When you fill out the Enrollment Consideration Form, there are several questions to help us determine your recitation level. We use the information about your Quran history, previous tajweed studies and recitation level to decide if you are a right fit for our course.

  2. We meet every student one-on-one for a quick assessment on their recitation. We ask sisters to recite from 2-3 places in The Quran and let them know their level based on how well they recite with the rules of tajweed.

  3. Throughout our course, you will always receive personalized feedback for what you need to do to improve your Quran recitation based on your level.

“I’m not sure I can afford this”

We understand that everyone’s financial situation is different, so we provide payment plans to help with your investment in learning how to recite The Quran as it was revealed.

If you have $4/day to spend on improving your recitation, then it’s worth it!

“How will I know that I’m improving?”

Improvements happen gradually and some mistakes take longer to fix.

However, some of our students noticed results from Day 1!

We teach Tajweed in a very practical manner.

You will have a weekly one-on-one meeting with your teacher to help you make improvements in real time.

For a few years, sisters were sending audio or video recordings weekly and given feedback on ways to improve their recitation. Sisters would listen back to earlier recordings to hear their improvements.

Students also hear the improvements of their classmates and give them compliments for all the progress they have made.

Any time you spend with The Quran is an improvement.

“I’m not sure I can do this right now”

You know best your situation but time with The Quran provides many blessing to your life.

We only focus on one tajweed rule a week and one surah. If you can find 2-3 hours of time during the day or night, then you should sign up for the course.

Enrollment is only open twice a year, now and at the end of the year, inshaAllah.

If you’ve had the intention to improve your Quran recitation, then take the steps needed to reach your goal faster.

  • I'm more confident when teaching my daughter her surahs and my husband tells me my tajweed is alot better. I can also concentrate on my salah better when I'm trying to recite mindfully with proper tajweed. I really liked knowing the theory behind all the tajweed rules that most people commonly don't teach.

    Yumna S

  • I really appreciate the chance to send in audio recordings and receive personalized feedback from Sheikha Mariam. Its helpful to be able to go back and listen to the feedback over and over again and to hear our improvement over time.

    Amaly A

  • I feel confident reading out loud and knowing that if I make a mistake I can correct some of them myself now that I understand what I was doing wrong.
